Each year, Beetroot runs The Listening; a research practice grounded in deep care, collective truth-telling, and solidarity with values-led businesses and changemakers.
We don’t extract data. We hold space. We listen, reflect, and return insight that serves the people it comes from — not just the systems around them.
Through long-standing relationships with partners, clients, and communities, The Listening explores how technology intersects with ambition, constraint, culture, and equity. It’s how we understand the real conditions that small and socially-minded organisations are navigating — and how we help shape tools, services, and strategies that meet them where they are.
